Depth bar: Extras-list dossier for a Sector 59 book plant on the Faridabad visit week. Target ~2,000+ words. Use
[~]for estimates. Do not invent bills, court outcomes, or personal emails. WhatsApp mis-spell “Neutech print services” = this company.
1. Company overview & snapshot
Nutech Print Services - India is a Delhi–NCR book and commercial printer whose purpose-built Faridabad plant sits at Plots 3–4, Sector 59, Phase-2, Ballabhgarh. US import records and GST both confirm that address. The public story is five decades of print, founder K L Shroff, and MD Ravi Shroff since 1993. For Stamped this is not an auto-component ICP core; it is a large, named-machine print factory on DHBVN next to the LNM Auto walk, where the owner has already said energy cost is a reason he automated. Fit is geography + process + owner access, gated by a Band B bill.
1.1 Legal identity & corporate structure
Operating brand: Nutech Print Services / Nutech Print Services - India. Haryana GST 06AAGFN7723H1Z7, registered as a Partnership, principal place Plot 3 4 Phase 2 Sector 59, pincode 121004, nature of business Factory / Manufacturing plus EOU/STP/EHTP on the GST snapshot. Udyam UDYAM-DL-09-0000080 [The Company Check]. HO on the company contact page: B-25/3, Okhla Industrial Area, Phase-II, New Delhi 110020, phone +91-11-45459550, fax +91-11-41609146, email info@nutech.in.
A separate MCA entity Nutech Print Services Private Limited, CIN U18110DL2025PTC443021, was incorporated 20 Feb 2025 at an Okhla address, authorised capital only ₹10 lakh, paid-up ₹1 lakh, MCA email ravi.shroff@nutech.in. Treat that Pvt Ltd as a new legal shell, not the 125,000 sq ft factory. Group sister brands on the contact page: Nutech Security Printers (ntsp.co.in) and Nutech Packagings (nutpak.com) — do not mix those plants into the Sector 59 HT ask.
Promoter family: K L Shroff (founder, quoted at the Faridabad plant inauguration in PrintWeek), Ravi Shroff (MD), Neetu Shroff listed as Partner on some LinkedIn company snapshots. Unlisted. No NSE/BSE code. Confirm which legal name is printed on the DHBVN invoice before any Proof paperwork.
1.2 What they make & where money comes from
Books and high-end commercial print: 1/c paperbacks through 4/c coffee-table books, children’s books, school textbooks, diaries, dictionaries, colouring books, travel guides, calendars, bible printing on 28 gsm, soft- and hardcover binding. Named publisher customers on the site: Oxford University Press, Routledge, Egmont, DCL, Rupa & Co., Reed Elsevier, Nestlé, bible societies. London Book Fair is a regular presence; IPP photographed the Nutech stand at Frankfurt.
PrintWeek, at the Faridabad plant opening, recorded ~30% export / 70% domestic. Ravi has also said (IPP Aug 2026) that a majority of production is for book exports and that inks/chemicals/adhesives meet the same global specs for local and export work because the shop floor cannot segregate. US import records of paper and plates into Sector 59 support an import-intensity story on consumables and plates, not on CNC machines.
Capacity claimed at inauguration: ~50,000 softbound and 10,000 hardbound books per day [PrintWeek]. Short-run publisher behaviour is the current commercial pressure: IPP 2026 quotes Ravi on publishers cutting initial orders and reprints, which increases make-readies per shift and is why bindery capacity was added. Money comes from print jobs, not energy services. Energy is a cost line he has already named in public.
1.2a Scale, MSME status & trade (mandatory from Aug 2026)
| Field | Value | Confidence |
|---|---|---|
| Revenue (latest FY) | Not public in a usable band. Plant scale (125k sq ft, multi-press, export) is not a micro printer. Qualify on visit. | Low |
| MSME class | Small / Medium — qualify. Udyam UDYAM-DL-09-0000080 exists. GoI: Small ≤₹50 Cr TO; Medium ≤₹250 Cr. A house this size is unlikely Micro. Turnover not in AR. | Medium on class band, Low on rupees |
| Employees | LinkedIn company “30–40” is wrong vs 125k sq ft. 2015 trade press (BBN acquisition) cited 500-plus at the Faridabad plant [old]. Use 150–500 [~] until HR/gate confirms. | Low |
| Import intensity | Paper, plates, press/bindery spares. US imports to Sector 59. Mitsubishi/RMGT/Kolbus are imported fleets. | Medium |
| Export share | ~30% export / 70% domestic [PrintWeek plant opening]. IPP 2026 still frames “majority” as export-oriented production. Confirm live mix. | Medium |
1.3 Plants, addresses & footprint
| Site | Address | Role | DISCOM |
|---|---|---|---|
| Faridabad book plant (visit) | Plots 3–4, Sector 59 Phase-2, Ballabhgarh, Faridabad 121004 | Purpose-built book factory. ~125,000 sq ft across 3 floors; Ravi has spoken of land for another 125k [PrintWeek]. IPP Aug 2026: floor area extended since the original visit. | DHBVN |
| Okhla HO | B-25/3, Okhla Phase-II, New Delhi 110020 | Commercial / registered contact. Not the energy site. | BSES [~] — do not pitch |
| Historical group units | Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Greater Noida quoted by K L Shroff at inauguration | Other verticals (packaging, security). Out of phase-1. | n/a |
Pilot site: Sector 59 Plots 3–4, one DHBVN HT. Do not start at Okhla.
1.4 Leadership & CRM map — three champion types (mandatory)
| Type | Who | Why we talk to them |
|---|---|---|
| P&L / energy-bill champion | Ravi Shroff, MD. LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/ravi-shroff-76673b6. Email info@nutech.in (verified). MCA shell also ravi.shroff@nutech.in (inferred). | He owns the bill conversation. He has already said energy cost drove automation. 60-Day Proof sign-off. |
| Maintenance / E&I actor | Faridabad press / electrical in-charge — name on visit. Imported Mitsubishi/RMGT/Kolbus support is a public Ravi theme. | They execute stagger, idle-off, HVAC/chiller, compressor, UV lamp discipline. Not billed as “energy people.” |
| Production / line champion | Mukesh Yadav, Production Manager Faridabad. https://www.linkedin.com/in/mukesh-yadav-a72b1b165 (LinkedIn Nov 2021–; confirm). Arun Sharma is historical only (Yellow pages; LI Asst Manager 2010–2014). Optional: Sandeep Jain, GM Operations https://www.linkedin.com/in/sandeep-jain-23411950. Devender Kumar, Production Supervisor [LI]. | They own make-ready, bindery throughput, dispatch. Energy Rx must not fight a short-run publisher slot. |
Decision path: Ravi yes → press electrical executes → production (Mukesh / shift) vetoes anything that risks colour or delivery. K L Shroff is founder colour, not the day-to-day email.
1.5 Recent news (24 months) & timing for Stamped
Indian Printer & Publisher, Aug 2026: staff met Ravi at the Faridabad book plant. Floor area extended; automated presses and binding added. Ravi: as energy and labour costs increased, he added automated inline machinery; a gathering-and-sewing line “saves energy, time and labour”; machine buying now weights speed, changeover, energy consumption and manpower; imported-machine spare support is the maintenance headache. Use as hook, not a quote dump.
Older but still load-relevant: RMGT 920ST presses (2019 and May 2022), Komori blanket-to-blanket perfecting, Heidelberg folder, Aster sewing, Fidia folder-gluer, LED-UV on the later RMGT [PRESSIdeas / IPP 2022]. PrintWeek inauguration piece remains the source for 125k sq ft, Screen 8600×2, Mitsubishi Diamond 8-colour 4/4, Solna heat-set, Muller Martini, Kolbus, UV screen, 50k/10k books/day, 30/70 trade split.
Timing for Stamped is geographic: Sector 59 visit week + LNM neighbour. No IPO, no PAT, no public EnMS award.
2. Energy profile
DISCOM / supply (name early): Faridabad Sector 59 industrial → DHBVN (Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam). Verify consumer name (partnership vs 2025 Pvt Ltd), tariff, ToD, sanctioned kVA on the invoice. Okhla is a different DISCOM; ignore for the walk.
2.1 Bill band, tariff & demand
Working band: ₹5–14 lakh/month [~] on the Sector 59 HT, Band B. Confidence Low–Medium. ₹30 lakh+ Unlikely. Heat-set web (if still live), UV curing, HVAC for a three-floor 125k sq ft plant, compressors, and bindery motors can stack; they still rarely look like a chemical or melt plant on one meter. Ask for two redacted HT bills before any paid 60-Day Proof. ToD and PF likely matter if heat-set or UV banks coincide with shift-open HVAC. Multi-feeder risk: prepress vs press vs bindery vs HVAC may or may not share an incomer — map at the gate.
2.2 Generation, fuel & renewables
No public captive MW, open-access PPA, or named rooftop solar. DG backup is common in HSIIDC and unconfirmed. Heat-set web historically implies gas/oil/thermal oxidiser on the dryer — if Solna still runs, part of “energy” may be fuel, not DHBVN kWh. Ask before attributing the whole peak to electricity. Do not assume RE offsets MD.
2.3 EnMS, PAT, ISO, BRSR
Site listings: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 18001 (legacy OHSAS-style numbering — confirm if migrated to 45001), ISO 12647 / FOGRA, ISO 27001, Sedex / PRELIMS. ISO 50001 not found. Not a PAT DC. Unlisted → no BRSR. Energy management is owner + press room, not an EnMS manager with a badge.
2.4 Likely ₹ leak categories (hypothesis)
- Heat-set dryer / web still on the same MD window as sheet-fed starts, if Solna is live.
- UV / LED-UV banks left on through make-ready and cover idle.
- HVAC for a three-floor press hall fighting outdoor Faridabad peaks.
- Bindery gathering/sewing/trim motors plus compressed air through short-run set-ups (Ravi’s own short-run complaint).
- CtP processors, proofing, and idle sheet-fed between jobs.
- PF drift from large motors and UV if APFC is tired.
Each is a hypothesis. Confirm which press is actually running this month before writing an Rx.
3. Operations, equipment & digital stack
3.1 Process flow & critical loads
Prepress (Screen CtP, Epson proof, Glunz & Jensen processors) → sheet-fed and/or heat-set print → folding / gathering / sewing / perfect bind or case-in → UV/screen on covers → trim / pack / dispatch. Critical electrical: press drives, UV, HVAC, compressors, bindery lines, possibly heat-set dryer auxiliaries. MD events often sit at shift-open (HVAC + first press + bindery) and at publisher rush weeks.
3.1a Machine inventory (mandatory from Aug 2026)
Name what is evidenced. Do not invent CNC counts. No CNC/VMC.
| Class | Present? | Count / size if public | OEM / brand if named | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CNC turning / lathe | No | — | — | Print house |
| VMC / HMC | No | — | — | |
| HPDC / LPDC / GDC | No | — | — | |
| Forge | No | — | — | |
| Heat treatment | No (steel) | — | — | Heat-set dryer is print, not metallurgical HT |
| Press / stamping | No | — | — | |
| Injection / blow | No | — | — | |
| Print (offset / web / bindery) | Yes | See below | Mitsubishi, RMGT, Heidelberg, Solna, Komori, Screen, Epson, Muller Martini, Kolbus, Wohlenberg, Horizon, MBO, Aster, Bindwel | |
| Melt | No | — | — | |
| Compressors / HVAC / chillers | Yes [~] | unnamed | unnamed | Utility, not on the marketing kit |
Print fleet (public):
- Prepress: Dainippon Screen PlateRite 8600 and 8300 CtP; Epson Stylus Pro 9900 / SureColor SC-B6070; Glunz & Jensen Interplater 135HD / 85. PrintWeek inauguration emphasised Screen 8600 ×2 + Epson plotter.
- Sheet-fed: Mitsubishi Diamond 3000R 4/4 perfecting; multiple Diamond 3000 4-col; Diamond 1000 5-col; Heidelberg SORS 1-col on the infrastructure page; Akiyama Bestech 2-col; Printa-X 1/1. RMGT 920ST 4-col + coating / LED-UV (2019 and May 2022) — Mitsubishi lineage after Ryobi–Mitsubishi merger. Komori blanket-to-blanket perfecting added in a 2021–22 window
[PRESSIdeas]. Heidelberg also appears as Polar cutters and a folder. User note: Heidelberg in some listings[verify]— site and 2022 press both name Heidelberg, so treat as present, confirm which units still run. - Web: Solna heat-set, 8-unit, 22.75” × 38” on the infrastructure page and PrintWeek. Flag as possibly historical. IPP 2026 talk is sheet-fed + bindery automation. Ask if Solna still runs — it is the largest single energy question on the site.
- Bindery: Muller Martini (PrintWeek); Kolbus DA230 case-maker, KM472A Ratiobinder, BF525.F hardcover line; Wohlenberg 28-station; Horizon BQ-470; Welbound; MBO folders; Meccanotecnica Aster 2000; Bindwel added for short runs
[IPP 2026]. Automatic screen UV for covers[PrintWeek].
Software worth knowing for Path A: Mitsubishi PPC (CIP3/4), Mitsubishi IPC press-room monitoring, Screen Trueflow, Harlequin RIP. That is production data, not an EMS.
3.2 Shifts, seasonality, production pattern
Discrete, jobbing, multi-shift [~]. Seasonality follows publisher calendars (academic, festival, export fairs). Short runs = more make-readies per shift = more idle UV/HVAC/air per good book. Maintenance windows around imported-spares delays (Ravi’s own close).
3.3 Automation, metering, SCADA/EMS/DCS
Closed-loop colour, CIP make-ready since 2004, Mitsubishi IPC. No named plant EMS/SCADA for energy. Path B: DHBVN bill + interval if the app allows + press/bindery run log. Path A only if IPC/CSV can be read-only exported. No PLC writes.
3.4 Capex / tech projects affecting energy
Ongoing automation of press and bindery explicitly sold internally as energy + labour reduction (IPP 2026). LED-UV on RMGT vs older mercury UV is a baseline break if mixed. Floor-area extension changes HVAC. Any new bindery line in the last 24 months must be dated before claiming a 60-Day delta.
4. Stamped Energy fit analysis
4.1 ICP scorecard
| Gate | Status |
|---|---|
| Geography (North India / Faridabad) | Pass — Sector 59 DHBVN |
| Vertical (energy-intensive mfg) | Partial — print, not auto/chemical. Real motors and HVAC. |
| Bill ≥ ₹30L/mo | Fail [~] — ₹5–14 lakh |
| Decision speed (owner MD) | Pass |
| Data maturity | Medium unknown (press IPC exists; energy metering unknown) |
| MSME / owner-operated | Pass as conversation speed |
4.2 Fit score rationale
6/10 is extras-list, not Band A. Process and owner hook are real. Bill gate, off-vertical, and missing electrical name cap the score. Include because the week already walks Sector 59. Kill fast if bills are under the commercial minimum you will accept for Band B.
4.3 Wedge (parser-critical)
The strongest wedge is: on the Sector 59 book plant, find which of heat-set (if live), UV, HVAC or bindery make-ready owns the DHBVN MD peak, assign one owner a sequencing or idle-off action with ₹, and keep the outcome verified with evidence on Stamped’s ledger — using Ravi’s own public point that energy cost is already why he buys automation.
4.4 Objections & competitors
“We already bought efficient RMGT/Kolbus” — Stamped does not sell presses; it attributes which running load hit MD after the capex. “ISO 14001 / Sedex covers this” — those are QEHS, not interval attribution. “Bill too small” — agree and stop. “Hardware / VFD quote” — refuse. Competitor: press OEM energy slide, local auditor, HVAC contractor.
4.5 Pilot design
Only if two DHBVN bills clear a Band B Proof you will actually run. Scope: one HT covering press + bindery + HVAC if they share an incomer; else pick the press-hall feeder. 60-Day Proof. Success: one owned action with measurable MD or idle-kWh movement, verified with evidence. Kill: bill too low, Solna already gone and residual load is lighting, no owner, no meter access.
4.6 Concern scores (1–10) and who owns them (mandatory from Aug 2026)
| Concern | Score | Who owns it | Why this score |
|---|---|---|---|
| Energy / electricity bill | 7 | Ravi Shroff | He has said energy cost in public. Still not a ₹30L problem. |
| Maintenance / uptime / utilities | 7 | Press electrical (unnamed) | Imported spares and uptime are his stated constraint. |
| Production line / OEE / dispatch | 7 | Mukesh Yadav / bindery shift | Short-run make-ready vs books/hour. |
| Overall plant efficiency | 6 | Ravi | Automation buying already framed as throughput + energy + labour. |
4.7 Pitch sketches (draft — human will refine)
-
P&L / bill (Ravi). You already told the trade press that energy and labour cost is why Faridabad kept adding inline kit. We do not sell another press. We sit read-only on the DHBVN meter, put a rupee on which load made the peak, assign it on WhatsApp, and keep it verified with evidence. 60-Day Proof on one feeder if two bills clear Band B. Twenty minutes at Plots 3–4.
-
Maintenance (press electrical). Imported Mitsubishi/RMGT/Kolbus already hurt when support is slow. We are not another OEM. We show whether UV, HVAC or a bindery pack is sitting on through a make-ready so you are not chasing MD as a mystery trip. You execute the stagger or idle-off. We do not write to the press PLC.
-
Production (Mukesh). Short runs already steal books per hour to set-up. Energy Rx that fights a publisher slot will be ignored. We only propose moving starts or cutting idle where dispatch is not at risk. Colour and delivery stay yours.
5. Before you reach out
5.1 Discovery checklist
- Confirm Plots 3–4 Sector 59 is the GST/DHBVN manufacturing unit, not Okhla.
- Two DHBVN HT bills — band in ₹ lakh, MD, PF, ToD.
- Legal name on the bill: partnership vs 2025 Pvt Ltd.
- Is Solna heat-set still running? Fuel vs electric dryer?
- UV: mercury vs LED mix; which presses.
- HVAC zoning: three floors, one chiller or many.
- Who is press electrical / utilities on this shift.
- Confirm Mukesh Yadav is current; do not ask for Arun Sharma as if he still runs production.
- Any DG / solar.
- Decision: Ravi vs a partner for ₹ approval.
- LNM Sector 59 only as local colour, one sentence.
5.2 Do not lead with
- Do not lead with dashboards, AI, ESG, or carbon.
- Do not lead with “next DISCOM bill” as the hero proof line.
- Do not promise 15–20% before bills.
- Do not pitch ₹30L+ commercial packaging onto a ₹5–14 lakh
[~]meter. - Do not quote-dump the IPP interview.
5.3 Opening hooks (email / call / WhatsApp)
“Ravi ji — we’re in Faridabad next week at Sector 59. You already said energy cost is part of why the book plant automated. We sit read-only, flag whether heat-set, UV, HVAC or bindery owned the DHBVN peak, assign a ₹ action, verify with evidence. Twenty minutes at Plots 3–4 with two bills?”
6. Risks, flags, controversies & sources
- Top risk: Band B bill (
₹5–14 lakh/month [~]) plus off-vertical print — a pleasant Sector 59 stop that should not be sold as Band A.
6.1 Integrity / controversy / regulatory (search explicitly)
Searched: Nutech Print Services / Nutech Faridabad + NGT, HSPCB, lawsuit, fraud, labour, tax raid, Sedex complaint (2024–2026). No company-specific controversy hit found. Faridabad NGT/HSPCB action on unnamed polluting units is a belt story — do not attach those dockets to Nutech. Sedex is listed as a customer-audit badge, not a finding. 2015 BBN/Baba Barkha Nath acquisition is corporate history, not a dispute. Never allege.
6.2 Data quality flags
- LinkedIn 30–40 employees vs 125k sq ft vs 2015 “500-plus” — do not repeat 30–40 as fact.
- Partnership vs Feb 2025 Pvt Ltd vs group packaging/security companies.
- Solna heat-set may be historical; energy story changes if it is dead.
- Infrastructure page vs 2022 RMGT/Komori adds — fleet is a palimpsest. Ask what runs this month.
- Two Mukesh Yadav LinkedIn URLs; confirm the Faridabad production manager in person.
- Arun Sharma Yellow pages stale.
- Bill band estimate only.
